Turned My Busy Apartment into a Smooth, Lag-Free Hub
When I first unboxed this router, the compact, low-profile design stood out—it looked more like a sleek media box than a clunky piece of networking gear. The antennas are integrated in a way that feels sturdy and intentional, and the unit is surprisingly light but doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. In daily use, the jump in speed from my old WiFi 6 router is obvious: my gaming PC in the bedroom no longer spikes in ping, 4K streaming in the living room is totally smooth, and video calls don’t stutter even when someone else is streaming. The 2.5G internet port was a nice discovery because it plugged right into my new multi-gig cable plan, and coverage has been solid across my roughly 2,000 sq. ft. apartment—no dead corners, just consistently fast, reliable WiFi, as long as you remember you still need a separate modem for your internet connection.
Thought WiFi 7 Was Hype — It Proved Me Wrong
I almost skipped this router because I figured WiFi 7 was just marketing fluff and I didn’t love that it didn’t have a built-in modem. On top of that, the promised 5.0 Gbps speeds and 2,250 sq. ft. coverage sounded too optimistic for my older house. The turning point was firing up an online game and a 4K stream at the same time while my partner was on a video call—everything stayed smooth with zero stuttering or lag, which has never happened with my old WiFi 6 setup. The 2.5 Gig port and rock-solid coverage really did make the network feel “future-proof,” and now I’m glad I ignored my initial doubts.
Incredible WiFi 7 speed and coverage
The speeds on this WiFi 7 router are outstanding—streaming 4K, gaming, and video calls all run smoothly across multiple devices, and the coverage easily blankets a mid‑size home. I also like the compact, modern design and the 2.5G WAN port, which makes it feel ready for faster internet plans down the road.
